The largest one spreads along the western slopes of La Serra del Montsant. The other one extends on the eastern slopes of La Serra de la Llena and the northern slopes of La Serra de la Figuera .There is a big contrast between the high terrain in the Montsant Mountains and the flat land near the river bank.
The village is located between the gullies of Les comes and La Calçada, at 357 metres above sea level, and is the only populated centre in the municipality. |

An important part of the territory is taken up by waste land and woods and can not be cultivated. Despite the crisis, agriculture is the basic activity in Cabacés. The chief crops are olive and almond trees followed by vineyards, hazelnut and fruit trees and also vegetables. It is possible that in the future many irrigated crops will be grown in Cabacés with the coming of the water from the reservoir of Margalef. The farming co-operative , founded in 1933, makes great wine and olive
oil. |
